Future of Europe 12-13 sept 07, Vienna, Austria

A symposium "The Future of Europe" will be held in Vienna on Sept 12th and 13th and will discuss the relationship between sustainable development and economic growth.

It is organised by the Club of Rome and the Scientific Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Vienna

Among the topics are:

- the limits to (material) growth,

- the Lisbon Strategy and the EU Strategy for Sustainable Development,

- different views on sustainability and growth in new and old EU member states,

- a critical analysis of future oriented research.
